La Rietina 2025: 288 years of tradition

The 2025 edition of La Rietina, held on Monday, August 25 in Campobello di Licata, celebrated 288 years of history since the first parade in 1737. Starting in the afternoon from via Luigi Giglia, over sixty Sicilian carts and magnificent draft horses traveled through the streets of the center, accompanied by folk groups.

The event attracted approximately thirty thousand people and was attended by regional and provincial institutional representatives. At the end, the auction of the Bannera was held, with proceeds donated to the Mother Church, while the mayor reiterated the request for the event to be recognized as intangible cultural heritage.
