Feast of the Madonna del Carmine

The 2025 edition of the festivities in honor of the Madonna del Carmine renewed the appointment with the patronal feast of July 16th in Villa Scontrone, a hamlet of the Municipality of Scontrone (AQ). The community gathered in the square in front of the church of Santa Maria del Carmine for liturgical celebrations and the procession of the statue of the Virgin of Mount Carmel, accompanied by the faithful along the streets of the mountain village of the Alto Sangro. Around the religious rites, there was no shortage of moments of conviviality and celebration that every summer bring residents and emigrants back to the village, tied to their roots.
