Feast of the Madonna Assunta — Marina Serra

The 2025 edition of the Feast of the Madonna Assunta took place in Marina Serra, a seaside hamlet of Tricase, in the Province of Lecce, during the central days of Ferragosto. On August 14th and 15th, the Sanctuary of Maria SS. Assunta was at the center of solemn liturgical celebrations for the Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary, with the participation of the parish community and numerous pilgrims and vacationers. The religious services were accompanied by traditional moments of popular festivity, in a highly evocative landscape setting, between the sanctuary and the nearby natural pool. The event confirmed its role as a landmark of identity for the Salento coastline of Tricase.
