Feast of the Immaculate Conception 2025 in Agrigento

The 2025 edition of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception in Agrigento confirmed the centuries-old rite of December 8th, with the historic center gathered around the Basilica of the Immaculate. The morning began at 8 AM with the brass band in the streets of the center; at 9 AM the mass, at 10:30 AM the floral tribute by the Fire Brigade to the image of the Madonna in the bell tower niche, and at 11 AM the solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by the Vicar General.

In the afternoon, at 4 PM, after the statue was brought out, the procession wound its way along Via Pirandello, Via Roma, Porta di Ponte, Via Atenea, Via Porcello, Salita Cognata, Via San Girolamo, and the Cathedral, reaching the Church of Sant'Alfonso, before returning to the basilica through the historic center. The festival was accompanied by the traditional fair, with the usual changes to city traffic.
