Feast of the Holy Medici (Cosmas and Damian)

The 2025 edition of the Feast of the Holy Medici, Cosmas and Damian took place in Salve on September 27th, renewing a devotional tradition deeply rooted in the Salento village. The day was marked by Holy Masses celebrated in the Mother Church of San Nicola Magno and reached its most intense moment with the evening procession of the statues of the two saints along the streets of the historic center, up to the small church dedicated to them.

Accompanying the faithful, as per tradition, was the town marching band, which enlivened the streets of the town in an atmosphere of participation and recollection typical of the patronal feasts of lower Salento.
