Feast of the Assumption of Mary in Vaste

The 2025 edition of the Feast of the Assumption of Mary took place in Vaste, a hamlet of Poggiardo (Lecce province, Puglia), on Ferragosto, August 15th. The festival was part of the summer program 'Sere d'Estate 2025', with which the Municipality of Poggiardo enlivened the months of July and August between Poggiardo and Vaste — a calendar that also featured the Notte Bianca on August 13th in Poggiardo.

As per tradition, the celebrations in honor of the Virgin Mary were divided between religious services at the Mother Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie and moments of celebration in the village's historic center, with the participation of the local community and the many visitors present in Salento during the Ferragosto period.
