The 2025 Feast of the Assumption

In the context of the 2025 Jubilee Year, the Feast of the Assumption in Vasto experienced a particularly heartfelt edition. On the evening of Thursday, August 14th, at 6:00 PM, the Eucharist was followed by the procession with the venerated statue of the Assumption through the streets of the historic center, accompanied by the faithful and the confraternities, amidst prayers and Marian hymns.

On Ferragosto, Friday, August 15th, morning masses were celebrated at 7:30 AM, 10:15 AM, and 11:30 AM, while at 7:00 PM, the solemn celebration was presided over by Archbishop Mons. Bruno Forte, Archbishop of Chieti-Vasto. The celebrations were animated by the Parish of Santa Maria Maggiore together with the Confraternita del Sacro Spino e del Gonfalone.
