Ferragosto 2025 in Le Forna

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Our Lady of the Assumption in Le Forna, on the island of Ponza, followed the traditional calendar. The day of August 15th opened at 6 AM with the diana, the festive sound of bells, and the band playing through the district's streets, while welcoming pilgrims who had reached the church on foot during the night from the port and other parts of the island.

At 11 AM, a solemn mass was celebrated, officiated by the Archbishop of Gaeta, Monsignor Luigi Vari. At 6 PM, the procession descended toward Cala Caparra; in the evening, at 9 PM, a musical show was held in the square, followed by fireworks at midnight.

On August 16th, the festivities continued with the Blue Fish Festival in the square in front of the church, featuring live preparation and tasting of local catch.
