Edition 2025 — Feast of the Madonna delle Grazie

On July 2, 2025, Alia celebrated its patron saint, Mary Most Holy of All Graces. The local community, together with the faithful who arrived from neighboring towns, gathered around the Sanctuary for the alborata, solemn masses, and the procession of the venerated statue, carried on shoulders through the streets of the historic center among confraternities, authorities, and barefoot devotees. The day concluded with evening shows in the square and traditional fireworks.

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Santa Maria delle Grazie renewed in Alia (PA) one of the oldest and most heartfelt devotions of the Madonie. July 2nd, the solemn day of the patron saint, saw the alborata announce the feast to the town from dawn, followed by liturgical celebrations at the Sanctuary of Maria SS. delle Grazie.

The heart of the day was the procession: the statue of the Madonna nursing the Baby Jesus was carried on the shoulders of devotees through the streets of the upper and lower historic center, accompanied by confraternities and civil and religious authorities. Between popular faith, evening musical shows, and fireworks, the festival confirmed its role as an identity-defining event for the entire community of Alia.
