Edition 2025 — Feast of San Giusto

The 2025 edition of the Feast of San Giusto and Companion Martyrs took place in Misilmeri from August 28 to September 2, with the main solemnity on Sunday, August 31. A calendar full of Eucharistic celebrations, the offering of wax by the confraternities, the dawn 'alborata', drummers, and the evocative evening procession of the relics with the 'vara' race, in the heart of the Misilmeri historic center.

The 2025 edition

In 2025, the Feast of San Giusto enlivened Misilmeri from Thursday, August 28, to Tuesday, September 2. The days of August 28 and 29 were marked by evening Eucharistic celebrations at the Mother Church of San Giovanni Battista.

Saturday, August 30, saw the festivities get into full swing with a performance by the drummers in the afternoon, the offering of wax by the confraternities and the mayor, the First Vespers, and the mass with a floral tribute. Sunday, August 31, the day of the solemnity, opened at dawn with the 'alborata' amidst bells and drums, continued with the mid-morning solemn celebration, and concluded in the evening with the concelebration, the procession of the relics, and the highly anticipated 'vara' race. The festival closed on Tuesday, September 2, with the final mass.
