Edition 2025 — Saint Roch Bitritto

In 2025, the Feast of Saint Roch in Bitritto took place from August 13th to 16th, with four days of celebrations in honor of the Saint. The Confraternity of Saint Roch and the Transfiguration Parish organized a rich religious program, culminating in the solemn procession on August 16th, the Saint's liturgical day, accompanied by the popular festive moments that animate the town center during the Ferragosto week.

The 2025 edition of the festivities in honor of Saint Roch in Bitritto was held from August 13th to 16th. During the days of the festival, the community gathered around the Church of Saint Roch, in the historic center, for Holy Masses and moments of prayer dedicated to the patron Saint.

The highlight of the celebrations was reached on August 16th, the liturgical day of Saint Roch, with the solemn procession of the statue through the streets of the town, accompanied by the faithful and the brass band. The recurrence intertwined with the Solemnity of the Assumption on August 15th, in a week of great popular participation. Alongside the religious rites, there was no shortage of the typical elements of a Puglian patronal festival, with illuminations and music animating the summer evenings of Bitritto.

August 13-15: preparation days with religious celebrations and prayer moments in the Church of Saint Roch; August 15: Solemnity of the Assumption; August 16: liturgical day of Saint Roch with Holy Masses and the solemn procession of the Saint's statue through the streets of the historic center, accompanied by the brass band.
