Edition 2025 — Feast of Saint Nicholas
The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint Nicholas of Tolentino took place in Assoro (EN) around September 10th, the day of the liturgical feast of the Augustinian hermit saint. The occasion, cited among the main events of the Municipality of Assoro, confirmed the vitality of a popular devotion deeply rooted in the village of the Erei Mountains.
The heart of the celebration was the procession of the statue carried through the streets of the historic center, accompanied by a brass band, authorities, and confraternities, according to a tradition that in Assoro is expressed with particular religious intensity. Services were held in the town's churches, starting with the evocative Basilica of San Leone.
