Feast of Saint Michael the Archangel

In 2025, the Feast of Saint Michael the Archangel animated Sant'Angelo d'Ischia on Monday, September 29th and Tuesday, September 30th. The day of the solemnity opened with the 8:00 AM mass, the fireworks, and the arrival of the Aurora - Città di Panza brass band, which toured the village alleys before the solemn mass in the parish and the noon band concert in the square. In the evening, after the outdoor mass and the land procession, the Pablo Neruda square hosted a concert by Marina Rei at 10:00 PM, organized by the Municipality of Serrara Fontana.

On September 30th, the statue was exhibited in the square for the veneration of the faithful, and in the late afternoon, the sea procession set off toward Punta Chiarito and the Maronti, with the landing under the Tower and the torchlight procession to the church. The feast closed with a lyrical-symphonic band concert in the square and, at midnight, with the pyromusical show.

2025 was also the year of institutional recognition: with an executive decree of the Campania Region on August 13th, the feast entered the regional Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Monday, September 29, 2025: 8:00 AM holy mass; 9:15 AM fireworks; 9:30 AM arrival and tour of the village by the Aurora - Città di Panza brass band; 10:30 AM solemn mass in the parish; 12:00 PM morning band concert in the square; 6:00 PM solemn outdoor mass; 6:45 PM procession through the village streets, with fireworks upon the saint's arrival in the square; 10:00 PM concert by Marina Rei on the Pablo Neruda square, under the Tower, organized by the Municipality of Serrara Fontana. Tuesday, September 30, 2025: 9:30 AM arrival and tour of the village by the brass band; 10:00 AM solemn mass in the parish; 11:00 AM procession to the square, where the statue remained exposed for the veneration of the faithful; 7:30 PM sea procession toward Punta Chiarito and the Maronti; 9:00 PM landing under the Tower, torchlight procession to the square, and return to the church; 10:00 PM lyrical-symphonic band concert in the square; 12:00 AM pyromusical show by PSC Fireworks of Ascoli Piceno.
