Edition 2025 — Assumption and Saint Roch Festival
2025 Edition
The Feast of Saint Mary of the Assumption and Saint Roch in 2025 was held in Barisciano on August 14th, 15th, and 16th, as part of the summer program Estate a Barisciano 2025 promoted by the Municipality. On August 15th, the feast of the Assumption, the day opened with morning fireworks and the solemn celebration at the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Valleverde, with the reading of the Miracle of Valleverde, followed by the procession of the Madonna's statue through the village streets.
On August 16th, dedicated to Saint Roch, the festival followed the same pattern with masses, the procession, the brass band, and evening fireworks. The three evenings featured music and dancing in the square, confirming the festival as one of the most cherished events of the Barisciano summer, in the heart of the Gran Sasso National Park.
