Edition 2025 — Feast of Saint Joseph in Oliveri

In 2025, Oliveri celebrated Saint Joseph according to the usual double recurrence: March 19th with the liturgical feast and the second Sunday of October with the grand patronal festival. The community gathered around the patron saint with solemn Mass in the Mother Church, the procession of the statue accompanied by the brass band along the village streets, and traditional fireworks over the sea, in an atmosphere of faith and popular celebration.

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint Joseph confirmed in Oliveri (ME) the strength of an ancient devotion. On March 19th, the liturgical feast took place, while on the second Sunday of October, the seaside village on the Messina coast experienced the grand patronal festival.

After the solemn Masses in the Mother Church of Saint Joseph, the statue of the saint was carried in procession through the main streets of the town, accompanied by the brass band and followed by the faithful of Oliveri and neighboring municipalities. The day concluded with a fireworks display on the coastline, facing the sea of the Aeolian Islands.
