Feast of Saint John the Baptist 2025 in Milazzo

The 2025 edition of the patronal feast of the San Giovanni district took place over several days, with a calendar full of events in Piazza San Giovanni, adorned with traditional illuminations. Among the most appreciated events were the briscola tournament, basketball and soccer tournaments for children, the concert by Marco Carta, and the Chocolate Festival accompanied by a musical show.

The culminating moment was the procession of the 18th-century papier-mâché statue of the Saint, venerated at the Sacred Heart Parish. Two processions took place, on June 28th and 29th: the latter departed at 7:00 PM from the parish, crossing the streets of the district to the western waterfront before returning to the church. To close the festivities, the fireworks display on the western coast attracted numerous citizens and visitors along the sea of Milazzo, in the province of Messina.
