Edition 2025 — Saint John the Baptist Fondachello
The 2025 edition
The 2025 patronal feast of Saint John the Baptist in Fondachello di Valdina proved to be a deeply felt celebration, well-attended by the Tyrrhenian community. Centered around the June 24th feast day, religious services in the parish church preceded the procession of the Saint's statue through the village streets, accompanied by the Città di Spadafora marching band, while the festivities concluded with a picturesque fireworks display.
On June 27, 2025, in a particularly significant moment, the community conferred honorary citizenship upon Father Antonino Merlino, the parish's spiritual guide for nearly thirty years, in the presence of Mayor Antonino Di Stefano and the municipal administration. It was an edition that united faith, tradition, and gratitude toward the man who has accompanied the religious life of the village.
