Feast of Saint John of God

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint John of God in Troia, in the province of Foggia, renewed the centuries-old devotion to the city's co-patron. As per tradition, the transfer of the reliquary and the statue from the saint's small church to the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta opened the week of veneration, which culminated in the solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided over by the Bishop of the Diocese of Lucera-Troia and the procession through the historic center.

To complete the celebrations, the Municipality of Troia organized a pilgrimage to Turin from March 14 to 17, 2025, providing free buses for participants. The program included arrival at Piazza Vittorio Veneto and Holy Mass at the Church of Santa Giulia on March 16, followed by a procession, testifying to the deep bond of the Troian community with the figure of the saint of charity.
