Edition 2025 — Feast of Saint Dominic

The 2025 edition of the Sturno patronal feast took place on Friday, August 8, with a program concentrated into a single day of high participation. Three Eucharistic celebrations at the Church of Saints Dominic and Francis marked the morning and evening hours, followed by a procession through the town streets accompanied by the Città di Luogosano Brass Band and an evening concert by the group Zeketam in Piazza San Domenico. Free admission to all events.

The 2025 edition of the patronal feast

The festivities in honor of Saint Dominic of Guzmán, patron saint of Sturno, were held on Friday, August 8, 2025, with the program published by the Municipality of Sturno and managed by the Parish of SS. Dominic and Francis.

The day opened with holy masses at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM in the parish church on Via San Domenico, culminating in the Eucharistic celebration at 7:00 PM. This was followed by the procession with the statue of the saint along the streets of the town center, accompanied by the Città di Luogosano Brass Band, one of the moments of greatest popular participation of the entire Sturno summer.

The civil part concluded in Piazza San Domenico with the concert by the group Zeketam at 9:45 PM, before a large audience composed of residents, families, and Sturno natives who had returned to the village for the summer. All initiatives were free to attend.

Programme

Friday, August 8, 2025 — 9:00 AM: Holy Mass at the Church of Saints Dominic and Francis. 11:00 AM: Holy Mass. 7:00 PM: Eucharistic celebration, followed by a procession with the statue of Saint Dominic through the streets of the town accompanied by the Città di Luogosano Brass Band. 9:45 PM: Concert by the group Zeketam in Piazza San Domenico.
