Edition 2025 — Feast of Saint Basil

In 2025, the Feast of Saint Basil the Great enlivened the San Basilio district in Galati Mamertino on the first Sunday of August, with the traditional three days of festivities. The community gathered around the saint's procession, the Bread Festival, and typical Nebrodi products, amidst popular games, an animal raffle, and the usual closing fireworks display.

The 2025 summer edition of the Feast of Saint Basil the Great took place in the San Basilio district, in Galati Mamertino (ME), on the first Sunday of August, with the classic three-day schedule between Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Also in 2025, the central moments were the procession of the float decorated with basil branches and wheat sheaves along the ancient streets of the village, the Bread Festival with tastings of typical Nebrodi products and roasted meat, traditional games, and the final fireworks display. The festival, deeply felt by the San Basilio community, drew faithful and emigrants returning for the most anticipated event of the summer.
