Feast of Saint Anthony of Padua

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint Anthony of Padua took place in Morciano di Leuca on Friday, June 13th, confirming the role of this event as the first major festival of the local summer. The community gathered around the Mother Church of San Giovanni Elemosiniere for religious celebrations and the procession of the Saint's statue, accompanied by children who had received their First Communion along streets illuminated by festive lights.

As per tradition, at the end of the main mass, the blessed bread of Saint Anthony was distributed on the church steps, while the streets of the center came alive with typical mostaccioli stalls. The festival, managed by the Religious Festival Committee, once again served as a moment of welcome for returning emigrants and the first tourists heading toward the coastal areas of Torre Vado and Pescoluse.
