Edition 2025 — Feast of Saint Anthony
The 2025 feast in honor of Saint Anthony
The 2025 patronal feast of Monteroni di Lecce kicked off on July 21 with the Tredicina preparation, on the theme "Saint Anthony, teacher of truth and witness of charity," with daily masses in the Mother Church.
The most solemn moment was Saturday, August 2, with the Eucharistic concelebration in Piazza Falconieri presided over by Cardinal Marcello Semeraro, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints. On Sunday, August 3, the day of the feast, morning masses were followed by the evening celebration led by the archpriest Father Giuseppe Spedicato and the procession of the Saint's statue through the town streets. The feast concluded on Monday, August 4, with a thanksgiving mass, again presided over by Cardinal Semeraro.
On the civil side, there was no shortage of events, including the Porchetta Festival, brass band concerts (with the "Città di Monteroni" Band and the "Città di Conversano" Grand Band), the Art and Taste Market, and the major evening concert by Orietta Berti with her show "La mia vita è un film".
