Edition 2025 — Saint Anthony in Arenella
2025 Edition
From May 31 to June 13, 2025, the village of Arenella, in Palermo, experienced two weeks of festivities in honor of Saint Anthony of Padua. The highlight was the sea procession on Saturday, June 7: the statue of Saint Anthony of the Fishermen was loaded onto a fishing boat and transported by sea to the villages of Acquasanta and Vergine Maria, followed by a procession of boats belonging to fishermen and devotees.
The program featured the parade of the Tamburinari di San Giusto with Sicilian carts, fishing competitions, tournaments, entertainment for children, and singing contests. On June 12, the theatrical performance "Antonio: the Saint whom the whole world loves" was staged at the parish church. The festival concluded on June 13 with the solemn procession through the village streets and traditional fireworks.
