Feast of Saint Anthony Abbot and Saint Vincent

In August 2025, the village of Carunchio, in the province of Chieti, renewed its patronal feast on August 18th and 19th. The celebrations opened with honors to Saint Anthony Abbot and continued with the feast of Saint Vincent Ferrer, in a blend of religious devotion and community gathering.

The processions accompanied the statues of the saints along the narrow streets of the historic center in an atmosphere of quiet reflection and participation. The event confirmed its character as an experiential journey into the popular religiosity of the Alto Vastese, attracting the faithful and tourists in the heart of the Abruzzo summer.
