About Feast of OLPH

For four days, Grottazzolina, a small village in the province of Fermo, rallies around its most cherished festival: the one dedicated to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Piazza Umberto I and the historic center become the heart of a program that combines a religious procession, major free concerts, comedy, food stalls with local specialties, illuminations, a lottery, and the traditional fireworks display.

The village festival, in the heart of the Marche

In the heart of the province of Fermo, in the Marche region, the village of Grottazzolina experiences its most anticipated moment each year with the Feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. It is the grand village festival, the one that brings the entire community together for several days and transforms Piazza Umberto I and the streets of the center into an open-air stage. Popular devotion, entertainment, and conviviality merge in an event that attracts visitors from all over the Fermo area.

Between faith and tradition

The religious heart of the festival is the solemn procession with the image of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, accompanied by liturgical celebrations and honors paid along the village streets. Over the years, the festival has also intertwined with the civil celebrations at the beginning of June and with moments of reflection aimed primarily at young people, such as the meetings promoted with the Catholic Action of the Diocese of Fermo.

Music, comedy, and entertainment

Alongside the religious dimension, the festival offers a program of free evening events in Piazza Umberto I: concerts by well-known national artists, comedy shows, dance nights, and musical tributes. Audiences of all ages liven up the square until late at night, in an atmosphere that is both a village fair and a major event.

Flavors and conviviality

The gastronomic part is not missing, with stalls offering local specialties from the Fermo area, illuminations lighting up the center, the festival lottery, and the fireworks display that traditionally concludes the celebrations. A festival that perfectly tells the identity of Grottazzolina and the attachment of its inhabitants to their roots.
