Edition 2025 — Maria SS. delle Vittorie

In 2025, Piazza Armerina honored its Patron Saint, Maria SS. delle Vittorie, with the traditional dual commemoration. On May 3rd, the community gathered around the sacred icon for the discovery procession, while on August 15th, the day of the Assumption, the sacred image returned to parade in an evening procession through the streets of the historic center, renewing a devotion that has spanned centuries in the heart of the Enna province.

2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Maria SS. delle Vittorie confirmed the traditional calendar of Piazza Armerina, with the two celebrations that mark civic devotion. On May 3rd, the city commemorated the discovery of the ancient Byzantine icon with Holy Masses, the solemn Mass presided over by the Bishop, and the evening procession that crossed the historic center to the Cathedral. On August 15th, the day of the Assumption, the main procession took place with the sacred image housed in the silver shrine, in an atmosphere of intense popular participation and in the spirit of the bond with the Palio dei Normanni in mid-August.
