Edition 2025 — Madonna delle Grazie
The 2025 edition
In 2025, the Feast of Maria SS. delle Grazie in Buccheri, in the province of Syracuse, took place on the first Sunday of September, September 7. As per tradition, the statue of the Madonna was transferred from the sanctuary nestled in the pine forest to the town's Mother Church, where it remained on display for the veneration of the faithful.
The festival day featured a shoulder-borne procession through the streets of the historic center, with confreres in blue mozzettas leading the statue amidst the participation of the community. Religious celebrations continued in the following days until the Octave, when the statue returned to the sanctuary accompanied by the traditional evening torchlight procession, in one of the most deeply felt annual events for the village in the Iblei Mountains.
