Feast of Maria SS. della Visitazione

In 2025, the Feast of Maria SS. della Visitazione confirmed its historic ritual in Enna. On July 2nd, celebrations opened at dawn with masses in the Cathedral and the firing of 101 cannon blasts, culminating in the solemn Pontifical Mass and the evening procession of the statue on the Golden Ship to the Eremo di Montesalvo.

As per tradition, the solemnity concluded with the return procession on the third Sunday following, July 20th. For both days, the municipal administration had adopted extraordinary security and traffic management measures, reflecting the widespread popular participation in one of the most important religious festivals in the province of Enna.
