The 2025 Edition

The 2025 edition took place throughout the month of May, from the 4th to the 31st. The solemn opening on May 4th was enlivened by a brass band, with masses at 11:00 and 19:00. From May 6th to 8th, the Eucharistic triduum of adoration and prayer was held, animated by parish groups.

On May 9th, the opening of the chapel housing the statue was presided over by Bishop Antonino Raspanti, in the presence of civil and military authorities. The main feast, on Sunday, May 11th (4th Sunday of Easter), featured numerous morning masses and, at 19:00, the solemn procession of the statue through the city streets. On May 17th, an extraordinary procession stopped at San Francesco al Carmine and the Cathedral, while on May 18th, the octave concluded with a solemn mass and a fireworks display. Pilgrimages and veneration of the statue continued until the closing on May 31st at the Sanctuary of Giarre, in the province of Catania.
