Edition 2025 — Feast of the Monte

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Maria SS. del Monte took place in Racalmuto on July 11, 12, and 13, in a year made special by the Jubilee. The most anticipated event was the historic descent of the white marble statue, opened to the public for the first time in 37 years: a cannon shot at sunset on July 3 announced its beginning. During the three days, the statue remained displayed at the entrance of the Great Sanctuary and was carried in procession among confraternities, the band, and thousands of faithful.

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Maria SS. del Monte took place in Racalmuto on July 11, 12, and 13, in a particularly significant year that coincided with the Jubilee Year.

The most emotional moment was the historic descent of the white marble statue, opened to the public for the first time in 37 years: at sunset on July 3, a cannon shot announced the approach of the event to the people of Racalmuto. The church doors opened around 4:30 PM and the ceremony began at 7:00 PM with a solemn chant.

During the three days of the festival, the statue remained located at the entrance of the Great Sanctuary and was carried in procession along the main streets of the town, accompanied by confraternities, the faithful, and the town band, amidst religious chants, prayers, and moments of reflection. For emigrants and those unable to attend in person, the church community and the committee organized a live broadcast on the Sanctuary's social media channels.
