Feast of the Assunta and San Rocco 2025 in Ischitella

From August 14 to 18, 2025, Ischitella celebrated its patron saints Maria SS. Assunta and San Rocco with a rich religious and civil program promoted by the Municipality and the 2025 Festival Committee. The preparatory novena began on August 6 at the Mother Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, with daily Rosary and Mass.

The historic center was illuminated with traditional illuminations forming a path of arches and rose windows, while religious celebrations and processions marked the solemn days of the Assumption and Saint Roch. There was no shortage of brass band concerts and musical shows in the square: among the evening events, the performance of the group I Sottosuono on August 17 and the concert by Coma Cose on August 18. The festival concluded with the usual fireworks display.

Religious program

• From August 6: novena at the Mother Church of Santa Maria Maggiore (Rosary and Mass; on weekdays Rosary at 6:00 PM and Mass at 6:30 PM, on holidays Rosary at 7:00 PM and Mass at 7:30 PM)
• August 15-16: solemn days of the Assumption and Saint Roch, with statues exposed for veneration and processions through the streets of the historic center

Civil program

• Artistic illuminations in the historic center
• Brass band concerts with symphonic marches
• August 17: concert by I Sottosuono
• August 18: concert by Coma Cose
• Final fireworks display
