Feast of Maria SS. Annunziata (Patronal Festival)

2025 Edition

In the summer of 2025, Ficarra celebrated its patron saint Maria SS. Annunziata with the customary three days of festivities, from August 3rd to 5th. The statue attributed to Antonello Gagini was carried in procession from the Sanctuary to the Chiesa delle Logge and, at the end of the festivities, returned in a solemn procession through the alleys of the historic center. The most heartfelt moments of the Ficarra tradition were all present: the devotion of the "piduna" walking barefoot, the accompaniment of the parish choir and the "Santa Cecilia" band, evening performances, and the fireworks that closed the festival, once again confirming the community's strong bond with its patron saint.
