Feast of Maria SS. Addolorata in Sant'Elia

The 2025 edition

The 2025 Feast of Maria SS. Addolorata confirmed the deep bond between the fishing community and its patron saint in Sant'Elia (Santa Flavia, Palermo). After the quindicina that began on September 1st, the village experienced a week of festivities marked by the morning alborata and the solemn procession of the Addolorata statue, carried on shoulders amidst prayers, lights, and hymns.

Alongside religious rites, the secular program offered the bluefish festival, the antenna game at the cove, musical and folk performances, and traditional fireworks that lit up the sky and the sea, closing one of the most heartfelt festivals on the Santa Flavia coastline.
