Edition 2025 — FAVILLE

In 2025, ResExtensa | Porta d'Oriente enlivened the contemporary dance scene in Bisceglie, under the artistic direction of Elisa Barucchieri and with the support of the Municipality of Bisceglie. Around the International Dance Day, the Teatro Garibaldi hosted performances, meetings, and training sessions, laying the foundations for the FAVILLE festival as a place for research and the promotion of choreographic language.

Contemporary dance in Bisceglie in 2025

Throughout 2025, the company ResExtensa | Porta d'Oriente, founded and directed by Elisa Barucchieri, brought contemporary dance to the Teatro Garibaldi in Bisceglie, with the support of the Municipality of Bisceglie. The programme, in dialogue with the International Dance Day, combined performances, meetings, and training activities aimed at young dancers and the public.

This season represented the fertile ground from which the FAVILLE festival grew, consolidating the bond between the choreographic scene and the Apulian city and restoring a central role to the historic theatre in the cultural life of the town overlooking the Adriatic.
