An edition skipped for the cable car renovation
The Fassa Sky Expo 2025 did not take place. The organizers, the Icarus Flying Team, had to suspend the edition due to the complete renovation of the Col Rodella cable car in Campitello di Fassa. The lift is essential for reaching the 2,400-meter take-off point around which the entire event revolves: without the cable car, flight tests, Hike & Fly, and demonstration flights were not possible.
The suspension only affected 2025: the new installation, a modern 3S cable car, has paved the way for enthusiasts to look forward to the return of the free-flight fair in 2026, once again in the Ischia sports area in the heart of the Trentino Dolomites.
