Fasano in Banda – Festival of Rediscovered Music

The 2025 edition of "Fasano in Banda – The Festival of Rediscovered Music" held special significance: it coincided with the bicentennial celebrations of the historic "Città di Fasano" Band, founded in 1825. The festival, chaired by Federico De Leonardis, featured six concerts in July under the direction of Maestro Silvestro Sabatelli. The opening concert on July 3 at the Casina Municipale in Selva di Fasano was preceded by a listening guide and accompanied by a tasting of panzerotti, featuring music by Giuseppe Piantoni, Gennaro Abbate, Angelo Angelini, and Cosimo Furleo Semeraro. On July 17, in the setting of the Egnazia Archaeological Park, the show "The Return of the Maestro… Antonio Gidiuli, for actor and band" was performed, featuring actor Valerio Bianco and narration by Franco Lisi. The festival concluded on July 31 at the Lama d'Antico Rock Park, with free admission. The festival paid tribute to historical figures of the Fasano band such as Mosè Petrella-Tirone and composer Antonio Gidiuli.
