Eurobirdwatch at the Saline di Priolo

For Eurobirdwatch 2025, the 33rd European edition, LIPU Syracuse organized two days of birdwatching in south-eastern Sicily.

• Saturday, October 4: meeting at 9:15 AM at the main entrance of the Vendicari Nature Reserve, with activities dedicated to the south-eastern coast of Sicily for the entire day.
• Sunday, October 5: meeting at 9:30 AM at the main entrance of the Saline di Priolo Nature Reserve, with outings between the Reserve, the Magnisi Peninsula, and the Pantani Gelsari.

Participants were advised to bring binoculars and a packed lunch. The initiative, held simultaneously in over thirty European and Central Asian countries, confirmed the role of the Saline di Priolo as a key stop for observing migration and birdlife in the municipality of Priolo Gargallo, Sicily.
