Edition 2025 — Eufemio da Messina

The 2025 edition of the "Eufemio da Messina" Half Marathon, originally scheduled for March 9, 2025, and included in the FIDAL calendar as the fifteenth edition, was cancelled. The stop interrupted the traditional road race in the center of Messina for one season, before it returned regularly in January 2026 with its usual program of half marathon and Shakespeare Run.

The 2025 edition of the "Eufemio da Messina" Half Marathon, scheduled for March 9, 2025, and included in the FIDAL calendar as the fifteenth edition, was cancelled. The event, organized by Polisportiva Odysseus Messina in the Municipality of Messina, Sicily, did not take place that season.

This forced break represented a pause in the history of one of the most popular road races in the city on the Strait. The event returned to the calendar the following year with the January 2026 edition, featuring its classic urban circuit through Viale Garibaldi, Via dei Mille, Viale San Martino, and Piazza Duomo.
