Etnabook – International Book and Culture Festival

Etnabook 2025 – 7th edition

The seventh edition of Etnabook was held in Catania from September 21 to 25, 2025, with the theme "Re-Si-Ste-Re", dedicated to the many forms of resistance: collective, inner, intellectual, and social.

Venues

The heart of the event was the Palazzo della Cultura in Catania, supported by numerous venues in the Etnean hinterland: Gravina di Catania (Katanè Shopping Center), Pedara (Expo Center), Sant'Agata Li Battiati (Gilberto Idonea Theater), and Paternò (Ex Macello).

The Prize and sections

The "Culture under the Volcano" Literary Prize recorded over 1,000 entries in the three sections (poetry, fiction/non-fiction, "A book in a page"); the award ceremonies were held on September 21 at the Palazzo della Cultura and on September 25 at the Katanè Center in Gravina. There was also the EtnaKids section curated by Claudia Santonocito and the Expò Pedara Corner. The event, directed by Cirino Cristaldi, confirmed free admission to all appointments.
