Edition 2025 — Ethnos Festival

The 30th edition of Ethnos celebrated the festival's thirty-year history from September 6 to October 5, 2025, with concerts, meetings, and events between Naples and the Vesuvian towns, featuring artists from eighteen countries. In San Giorgio a Cremano, the Parco di Villa Vannucchi hosted two international evenings on September 20 and 21, and on September 28, the final of the seventh edition of the Ethnos Gener/Azioni award, won by the Nubras Ensemble.

Ethnos 2025: Thirty years of the festival

The thirtieth edition of the Ethnos Festival took place from September 6 to October 5, 2025, alternating evenings between Naples and the Vesuvian towns with artists from eighteen countries. In San Giorgio a Cremano, the festival chose the arena of the Parco di Villa Vannucchi: on Saturday, September 20, after the «Hip Hop ManDingue» dance workshop with Tishou Aminata Kane, the Hungarian group Söndörgő took the stage; on Sunday, September 21, it was the turn of the Ghanaian supergroup Santrofi.

The Ethnos Gener/Azioni final

On Sunday, September 28, 2025, also at the Villa Vannucchi arena, the final evening of the seventh edition of the Ethnos Gener/Azioni contest was held, with six groups competing: Nubras Ensemble, the Lindal duo, the Trevize project, the Senduki group, the Toranj Quartet, and the Violoncelli Itineranti trio. The winner was the Nubras Ensemble. The ticket for the evening cost 5 euros, available for presale via the Azzurro Service network.

Other stops of the edition included the Reggia di Portici with Dutch cellist Ernst Reijseger alongside Cuncordu e Tenore De Orosei, the church of Santa Maria Donnalbina in Naples, and, from October 2 to 5, the closing events with the Ensemble Chakâm, the Galician duo Caamaño & Ameixeiras, and music-themed films.

  • Sunday, September 21, 2025 – Parco di Villa Vannucchi: 9:00 PM concert by Santrofi (Ghana).
  • Sunday, September 28, 2025 – Villa Vannucchi Arena: 8:00 PM final of the 7th edition of Ethnos Gener/Azioni with Nubras Ensemble, Lindal, Trevize, Senduki, Toranj Quartet, and Violoncelli Itineranti.
