Edition 2025 — Esquilino Jazz

The third edition of the Esquilino Jazz Festival took place from July 7th to 14th, 2025, at the Horti Magici in the Piazza Vittorio Gardens, featuring eight nights of free concerts starting at 8:30 PM. A program dedicated to contemporary jazz and its fusions, closed by a final jam session open to musicians, which consolidated the festival as a permanent fixture of the summer in Rome's Esquilino district.

Eight nights at the Horti Magici

In 2025, the Esquilino Jazz Festival reached its third edition, confirming the formula that led to its success: free live music, every night, in the greenery of the Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II Gardens, in the heart of Rome's Esquilino district. Eight events from July 7th to 14th, starting at 8:30 PM, with programming oriented toward contemporary jazz and its fusions—a choice deemed particularly suitable for a cosmopolitan square like this.

The lineup alternated between original projects and classic ensembles: Singing Routes with Barbara Eramo, Gabriele Coen, and Alessandro Gwis in the opening, followed by the Ettore Carucci Trio, the Vittorio Esposito ensemble, Gegè Munari and Friends with guest Valeria Rinaldi, the Alessandra D'Alessandro 4tet, the Sebastiano Ragusa Trio, and the Blue Monday Trio. Closing on July 14th, a final jam session directed by Gianfranco Rita, with the stage open to attending musicians.
