The dawn of music in Piazza San Giorgio, Bagnolo del Salento
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
In the heart of the Grecìa Salentina, Bagnolo del Salento is one of the smallest municipalities in the province of Lecce, Puglia. Every summer, however, its historic center comes alive thanks to EOS Festival, the music and cultural event that has been drawing music lovers from all over Salento to Piazza San Giorgio since 2021. The festival's name pays homage to Eos, the Greek goddess of the dawn: a symbol of a new musical beginning and a cultural rebirth for a village that chooses artistic quality as its hallmark.
EOS is conceived and organized by the Dilinò association, an independent cultural center active in Muro Leccese since 2002, dedicated to creating and promoting artistic and musical projects of international relevance. The festival stems from a collaboration with the Municipality of Bagnolo del Salento and local associations, and has been supported over the years by Puglia Region programs, including Puglia Sounds Live.
The festival is defined by an encounter between socially conscious songwriting, folk-rock, and the musical roots of Southern Italy. Over the years, the stage in Piazza San Giorgio has hosted artists such as Cisco (the historic voice of Modena City Ramblers), Gang, 99 Posse, Crifiu, Salento Son, and various projects dedicated to pizzica and Salento traditions. Alongside the concerts, the square hosts food stalls offering street food and local specialties, making the festival a complete evening of celebration.
Today, EOS Festival is one of the events that best captures the cultural vitality of the Grecìa Salentina: quality music, free admission, and the desire to bring big names to one of the most intimate squares in Salento.
At the moment, the dates and program for the 2026 edition of the EOS Festival in Bagnolo del Salento have not yet been announced. The festival, organized by the Dilinò association in partnership with the municipality, is usually held during the summer—in recent years in August—in Piazza San Giorgio. As soon as the organization releases the calendar and line-up, this page will be updated with all the details.
Bagnolo del Salento can be reached by car via the SS16 or the provincial road between Maglie and Otranto; the reference railway/highway exit is Maglie (FSE and Trenitalia station just a few kilometers away). Concerts take place in Piazza San Giorgio, in the town center.
Admission to the concerts is free, with any reserved seating available until capacity is reached.
