Edition 2025 — Enjoy Barocco Food Fest

On May 1st and 2nd, 2025, Punta Secca, a seaside hamlet of Santa Croce Camerina, hosted the inaugural stop of the Enjoy Barocco Food Fest – Tradition at the Table, welcoming over 1,200 visitors. Featuring "Hands in the Dough" workshops, communal tastings in the square, cooking shows, and live performances, the first edition celebrated San Giuseppe bread, cassatelle, and rice and salt cod fritters, opening the culinary journey of GAL Terra Barocca in South East Sicily.

The inaugural stop in Punta Secca

The first edition of the Enjoy Barocco Food Fest debuted on May 1st and 2nd, 2025 in Punta Secca, a hamlet of Santa Croce Camerina, attracting over 1,200 people. The seaside village came alive from 10 AM until evening with a program dedicated to local gastronomic traditions.

The protagonists were the "Hands in the Dough" workshops, including the one on San Giuseppe bread led by the village grandmothers, which involved hundreds of participants, as well as communal tastings, cooking shows by chefs and pastry chefs, craft markets, and live performances with street artists and puppet theater. The specialties on the table ranged from cassatelle to rice and salt cod fritters.

The Santa Croce Camerina stop opened a five-stop traveling route — Ispica, Ragusa, Scicli, and Modica — which in May-June 2025 attracted a total of over 5,000 visitors, confirming the success of the format promoted by GAL Terra Barocca.
