Emigrant's Festival

The 2025 Emigrant's Festival was held on August 9 in Carlantino, in the province of Foggia, as the central moment of the Carlantino Summer (August 1-12). The town, overlooking Lake Occhito in the Monti Dauni, welcomed its emigrated children with a day dedicated to meeting and shared memory.

The summer calendar intertwined the event with numerous appointments: from the solidarity initiative "Artists United for Gaza" to sports tournaments, from the Pro Loco festival to historical re-enactments, from the patronal feast of Saint Donatus on August 7 — with mass, procession, band, and fireworks — to the Farmers' Festival on August 12, with the tractor parade and tastings of typical products. During those days, the village also received a visit from Pinuccio, a correspondent for Striscia la Notizia, who reported on the life and challenges of small towns in the hinterland.
