The 54th edition of the De Aloysio Competition
The 54th edition of the "Elio De Aloysio" Regional Dialect Poetry Competition was held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at the Municipal Theater of Celenza sul Trigno (Chieti). The event, originally scheduled for August 13, was postponed to September due to a civic mourning. The evening, organized by the Pro Loco Coelentia, featured fourteen dialect poets competing, with the jury presided over by critic Massimo Pasqualone.
The first prize went to Toni Pesce with the poem "Curri Curri", followed by Angela Valente ("Sott à la live belle") in second place and Severino Cristini ("Luna Silenziose") in third. The evening was enlivened by the "I Cantori della Torre" folklore choir from Vasto.
