Elba Isola Musicale d'Europa Festival

The 29th edition (2025)

From August 29 to September 13, 2025, Elba Island hosted the 29th edition of the festival with 16 concerts and over 60 musicians from 19 nations. The festival traversed historic villages, squares, and evocative locations, from Portoferraio to Capoliveri, from Rio to Marciana and Marciana Marina.

The opening concert on August 29 at the Teatro dei Vigilanti in Portoferraio featured violinist Gidon Kremer performing Arvo Pärt's "Fratres". Among the artists of the edition were Mario Brunello, Enrico Pace, Erica Piccotti, the Quartetto Indaco, Jacopo Taddei, Samuele Telari, and Olivia Trummer. In Capoliveri, at the Teatro Flamingo, trumpeter Fabrizio Bosso performed on September 4 with the Drumpet trio (Daniele Sorrentino on double bass, Lorenzo Tucci on drums). The grand finale on September 13 in Portoferraio was entrusted to trombonist Mauro Ottolini with the project "Nada Más Fuerte".
