Edition 2025 — Eggplant Festival

In the summer of 2025, the Eggplant Festival returned to animate Piazza Pozzo in the village of Santa Marina di Milazzo, renewing a tradition that has been running uninterrupted since 1988. The August evenings featured the unmissable tastings of eggplant-based dishes, from pasta with sauce to sandwiches with oil-preserved eggplant, accompanied by the La Melanzana d'Oro competition for farmers and performances by folk groups from the National Folklore Festival.

The 2025 edition of the Eggplant Festival took place as tradition dictates in Piazza Pozzo, in Santa Marina di Milazzo, province of Messina, confirming the successful formula that combines gastronomy, rural culture, and popular entertainment.

This year, visitors were once again able to savor eggplant specialties prepared by the volunteers of the Associazione Folklorica Città di Milazzo, while the La Melanzana d'Oro competition rewarded local farmers. Completing the program were the parades and performances of the National Folklore Festival, with live music and square dancing that brought the village's summer evenings to life.
