The great youth volleyball international tournament of the Conero Riviera
Every year, around Easter, the small municipality of Camerano, in the Province of Ancona, becomes the pulsating heart of one of the most cherished events in Italian and European youth volleyball: the Easter Volley – Flavio Brasili Memorial. For three days, the Conero Riviera is filled with young athletes in uniform, balls flying over the net, and packed stands of families coming to support their teams. It is a tournament that has grown to become an international event, without ever losing the dimension of popular festival and community that made it unique in the Marche region.
Easter Volley was conceived over thirty years ago by Claudio Principi together with the staff of the Bftm Volley Summer Camerano club, which still manages its organization today. Since that first idea, the tournament has grown edition after edition, expanding to include an ever-increasing number of teams and participating municipalities. The tournament is named in memory of Flavio Brasili, a figure linked to the history of the event, to whom the "Sport in the Heart" award is also dedicated, presented to personalities who embody the most authentic values of sport.
What makes Easter Volley truly special is its nature as a widespread event: matches are not only played in Camerano but in dozens of gyms and sports halls scattered across numerous municipalities in the Conero Riviera and the Ancona area (Osimo, Castelfidardo, Numana, Sirolo, Offagna, Polverigi, Loreto, Recanati, Porto Recanati, Civitanova Marche, and Ancona itself). In this way, the tournament becomes a major driver of tourism and sports promotion for the entire Marche territory.
The event involves the youth categories Under 13, Under 14, Under 16, and Under 18 for girls, to which a Under 17 tournament for boys has also been added over the years, a sign of the event's continuous evolution. On the courts, teams from many Italian regions and various European and non-European countries compete, making Easter Volley an occasion for sporting comparison and cultural exchange among young athletes from different countries.
Alongside the competitive aspect, Easter Volley maintains a strong social vocation. The event has always supported solidarity: the proceeds from fundraising are donated to the Associazione Ambalt of Ancona, which assists children with leukemia and their families. It is this blend of competition, celebration, and generosity that makes the event much more than just a volleyball tournament, and a much-anticipated event every spring in the Marche region.
The 32nd edition of the Easter Volley – Flavio Brasili Memorial confirmed the tournament's steady growth, animating the Conero Riviera from April 2 to 4, 2026. The event, organized by Bftm Volley Summer Camerano, brought hundreds of young athletes to Camerano and neighboring municipalities for three days of competition and celebration, maintaining its social mission for children supported by the Associazione Ambalt of Ancona.
Among the innovations of this edition were the expansion of the program with a fifth competition category and the inclusion of the Under-17 boys' tournament, in collaboration with JVS Jesi, which opened the competition to boys for the first time.
Matches were played in the facilities of Camerano, Osimo, Castelfidardo, Numana, Porto Recanati, Ancona, Loreto, Civitanova Marche, Offagna, Montelupone, Recanati, Polverigi, Sirolo, Porto Potenza Picena, and Jesi. The Under-18 final was held on the afternoon of Saturday, April 4, at the Palarossini Prometeo Estra in Ancona.
The tournament takes place on Easter weekend, generally between late March and the first few days of April, with three days of competition.
The main venue is Camerano (AN), but matches are played in numerous gyms and sports halls in the municipalities of the Conero Riviera and the Ancona area (Osimo, Castelfidardo, Numana, Sirolo, Loreto, Recanati, Ancona, and others). The finals are held at the Palarossini Prometeo Estra in Ancona.
Camerano is easily reachable by car from the A14 motorway (Ancona Sud exit) and is located a few kilometers from the Marche Airport in Falconara. Ancona railway station is the main reference point for those arriving by train.
The program, venues, and match schedule are published on the official tournament website, eastervolley.it, managed by the Bftm Volley Summer Camerano club.
