Edition 2025 — Holy Week of Riesi

The 2025 edition of the Holy Week of Riesi renewed the centuries-old Passion rites, from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday (April 20). In 2025, the five statues housed in the Church of the SS. Crocifisso once again animated the town's processions, with Good Friday marked by the search for Christ at dawn, the Crucifixion at Calvary, and the moving Scinnenza, before the joyful Easter Giunta.

The 2025 edition

The 2025 Holy Week in Riesi, which concluded on Easter Sunday, April 20, confirmed the extraordinary popular participation in the rites of the province of Caltanissetta. The five simulacra of "lu chianu Signuri", displayed in the preceding days, led the town's processions.

As per tradition, Good Friday represented the heart of the celebrations: the dawn procession of Our Lady of Sorrows and Saint John, the meeting with Christ, the ascent to Calvary, and the Scinnenza. Easter Sunday featured the Giunta between the Madonna and the Risen Christ.
