Edition 2025 — Doppio Sogno

The 25th edition of Doppio Sogno took place from July 8th to 24th, 2025, in the garden of Villa Pignatelli, on the Riviera di Chiaia in Naples, under the title "Opera incerta". Nine evenings of auteur cinema, every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with films in original language subtitled in Italian and introductions by film critics and university professors. Symbolic entry at 5 euros.

The twenty-fifth edition of Doppio Sogno celebrated the festival's quarter-century in the historic garden of Villa Pignatelli, on the Riviera di Chiaia in Naples, Campania. From July 8th to 24th, 2025, over nine evenings spread across Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, the public was able to watch a selection of films that marked the history of cinema under the stars, all presented in their original version with Italian subtitles.

The chosen theme, «Opera incerta», guided a program that spanned very different authors, from Jim Jarmusch to Aki Kaurismäki, from Sidney Lumet to Jafar Panahi, from Louis Malle to Clint Eastwood, as well as Kim Ki-duk, Douglas Sirk, and Lawrence Kasdan. Each screening was preceded by an introduction curated by critics and professors from the Neapolitan universities Federico II and L'Orientale, with keys to interpretation designed to enrich the viewing experience.

As per tradition, the entry fee remained fixed at 5 euros, a symbolic figure for an event that combines culture, beauty, and accessibility.
